Is it just me, or is anyone else ready for some good ol’ crisp Fall weather? This summer in NC has been brutal, mix in a bit of COVID-19 and continuous rain and you have yourself a crap storm! I’ve been in a bit of a funk since relocating to NC three years ago from Las Vegas. Now don’t get me wrong, Vegas’ heat is ferocious but I can deal with it a bit more than with the humidity. This weather has me primed and prepped for Fall!
Now I can’t tell you when Fall became my absolute favorite season of the year but it most definitely is. The crisp air, beautiful foliage, awesome fall candle scents are among some of my favorite reasons fall is #1 in my book. Every year, I head to Bath & Body Works to stack up on my beloved fall candle and wallflower scents. Walking into BBW is a treat in of itself. I swear, the store clerks know just the right scents to burn simultaneously that won’t make you exit stage left.
Bath & Body Works is notorious for sending out those cardboard coupons that I always seem to forget at home. I’ve found out that downloading the app is a much better way to keep track of coupons and points and it cuts own on the paper. Score! I do have my faves and a few that I have to stay away from. My absolute favorite candle scent ever is Sweater Weather. This scent has notes of juniper berry and eucalyptus. It has a warm smell to it. The best part of it is the scent throw. It totally smells up the entire area in which it’s placed. A close second is Pumpkin Pecan Waffles. I adore this smell in my kitchen and dining room. Now I’m not a true pumpkin fan but I think the pecan smell is a bit stronger in this candle. This candle also has notes of maple syrup which reminds me of Saturday morning breakfast as a kid.
Now as stated, there are a few popular scents that I just can’t seem to get on board with such as anything with Apple, Balsam or Blossom/Rose Water scents. They are just to strong and perfumy for my liking but hey, different strokes for different folks!
As you can already tell, candles are one of the things that brings me the most joy, well besides my loving family of course, Ha! So who’s ready to commemorate this Fall season with me???
What’s your favorite candle scent? Let’s chat about it.
